Vacation DAY THREE

Day three was Williamsburg! (this post is a little longer)
Riding the bus to get there...

Just a cute sister picture while the carriage goes by, and I think that Jyll is NOT looking! haha
 This is true!
It was the only picture I could get of this sign!

 This was the beautiful church!
One of the first things we did was participate in the "Storming of the Palace".
All of these men gathered around and started telling us how the gunpowder had been stolen in the night and asking us what we thought and what we should do.... it was SO much fun!!

We had a rather LARGE crowd gathered to storm the palace!

See the Red Coat up at the top?!
Different colonial people were mingled in with the crowd randomly.
The governor came out to see what the commotion was about!
 Carriage rides...
A very heavy colonial gun that we got to hold....

The shoe maker... he told us it would be a good trade for the "Lass'" to get into...

 The silversmith....
Brooke and Jyll wanted to go into Mary Dickinson's store and buy themselves a fan.
 Gramma put on some "spectacles"

In front of the court house
 The Prentis general store.
 Awh! She's so cute!!
Bought myself a quill pen and the Declaration of Independence.
We went to Shields Tavern for lunch... (and btw, restaurants back then were called "taverns".)

Pulled Pork and Potato Wedges! YUM

 Love my Daddy!!
Revolution in the Streets... and music playing!

The wig maker... this was a very interesting shop to go into.

Jyll Jonnee is a Grampa's girl!
 At the wheel wrights!

 Black smith....
Just a random fiddler on the steps... :)

This is where they keep their ammunition and artillery.

So glad my parents are still in love and not ashamed of it!! :)

This was Felicity's house where they made the movie!

At the end we took a tour of the governor's palace...

 What a bed!!

 Harpsichord.
And the fine china!
And can you believe our parents actually SUGGESTED to leave us here??!!

 Death Sentence for Luke!

Now I agreed that we leave Luke here... Perfect place for him! haha
